This is a complete distribution of IC Editors, Inc.'s Layout, DRC, and NLE/LVS software and documentation. It has been changed in a variety of (hopefully minor) ways:

  1. The key checks have been removed. The programs will now operate without a key or license files.

  2. The setup now uses Jordan Russel's INNO setup setup software (http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php). This change has resulted in a number changes in the way the setup program operates.

  3. Some minor bugs have been fixed.

This software and the associated documentation are protected by a variety of copyrights. You are permitted to download and use this software and the associated manuals so long as you do not modify either the software or the manuals. It is especially important that you do not remove or modify any copyright notices. YOU MAY NOT PRINT OR DISTRIBUTE BOUND VERSIONS OF ANY OF THE MANUALS. YOU MAY NOT SELL ANY OF THE MANUALS OR BUNDLE THEM WITH A COMMERCIAL PRODUCT. We are reserving these rights for the original author of the manuals.

New Installations

New users should download ClassicICEDinstall.exe (12.0 MB) http or ftp. It is a complete distribution including documentation. However, it can not be used to update an existing (Install Shield) installation.

Existing Installations

Users who want to update an existing installation should download ClassicICEDUpdate.exe (2.9 MB) http or ftp. This is a self-extracting zip file that contains everything except the documentation files. The documentation files are in a separate self-extracting zip file: ICEDDocs.exe (9.7 MB) http or ftp.

Finally, ICEDExecutables.exe (3.5 MB) http or ftp is a self-extracting zip file that contains various executables. You should download this file to get dongle-free versions of the beta test executables. Remember that if you update a DRC, NLE, and ARC executable you should also update the corrosponding rules executable.
